I saw too many pastel colored stuff lately. Now go back to work, me!
Usagi Tsukino - Sailor Moon (c) Naoko Takeuchi
Usagi is wearing Mamoru’s glasses =^)
I bought yet another furoku (Nakayoshi promotional goodies) set, this time a notebook. It was filled with these doodles (along with others, which I’ll post later), which where never reprinted anywhere else (to my knowledge). I’ve never seen these posted online before so I figured I’d share them with the world!
They’re watermarked because the furoku set was bought, scanned, and edited by me. Please let me know if you want the original scans to edit! You can also see more of my exclusive furoku scans here.
I appreciate the effort it took for you to share this with fans, but as a practicing illustrator I can’t say I agree with you watermarking these images with your blog handle. If I were to be hired by the New York Times to do a piece for them, I wouldn’t want for someone to then upload my work with their name on it. Artists, illustrators, comic book artists, etc. make a living from their art. It is their work, and it’s unfair to label their art under your name just because you went through the means of sharing it.
If I didn’t know Naoko Takeuchi’s style or Sailor Moon I could have easily thought that you drew these or that this was fan art.
Anyways, I’m not trying to start anything. I’m a big fan of Sailor Moon and I know you are too. I just felt like I had to share this as an illustrator who is just starting off her career.
